Our client, a specialised Export Zone, is a company promoted jointly by Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for development of Special Economic Zone (SEZ). They are developing a multi-product SEZ in VagraTaluka of Bharuch district in Gujarat, India. Spread over 1600 Hectares, the SEZ prides in serving occupants such asPidilite, Torrent Power, Sun Pharma, Gujarat Petronet, ONGC, Godrej & Boyce and Rallis India to name a few.
This facility being a Special Economic Zone required special clearances from the regulatory authorities and other statutory bodies for discharge parameters of Sewage, Wastewater and Effluent being generated. Stringency on clearances was based on the fact that this region was facing shortages in the availability of ground Water. There was also a stress on the other sources of fresh water. To overcome this problem, the apex body of the zone decided on looking at the possibility of recycling the generated Wastewater and Effluent for non-potable uses. While doing this, quality and uniformity of recycled treated Wastewater and Effluent became paramount to all other considerations.
To overcome the issue of fresh Water supply for non-potable uses, we suggested the Grewa-R model A1025B plant to be installed and commissioned.
